In the fall of 2004 we participated in The University of Iowa's Small Business Development Center's Fastrac Course. The following are notes and observations from this course that might be beneficial to other new and small business owners.

There are 5 Cs of credit:

Character - how you value your financial obligations

Capacity - your ability to repay debt

Credit - your past financial history

Capital - your balance sheet

Collateral - security on loans
